Beihu Wastewater Treatment Plant in Wuhan, Hubei Province, was established in 2016, located in Qingshan District (Chemical Industry Zone) of Wuhan. Its design capacity is 1.5 million tons/day, with a current construction capacity of 800,000 tons/day. It is the largest wastewater treatment plant in China built in a single phase, designed to collect and centrally treat wastewater from the Shahu, Erlangmiao, Luobuzui, Qingshan, and Baiyushan areas.
In this project, KEDI Intelligent provided the entire plant’s automation equipment and related services, and applied multiple self-developed technologies and products, including the Production Integrated Monitoring System, Digital Twin Decision Optimization System, and Digital Intelligent O&M Management System. By applying advanced algorithm models to process and feedback both real-time data such as water quality monitoring and equipment operating parameters, as well as historical data, the project ultimately achieved unattended production sites and intelligent management of the entire system.
This project was also recognized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2023 and was shortlisted as a Smart Water Innovation Project.
